Financial Business Analyst

Overview

Our Financial Business Analyst is obsessed with data and assuring data quality. In this position, you will work to identifying patterns and trends, build engaging visualizations that simplify complex stories, and be able to articulate data, reports, and models. You will be responsible for generating reports that help us analyze business performance, designing and developing forecast models, providing business partners with financial and consumer-based insights, the oversight of cash forecasting and reporting, and lead merchant banking and in-store payment strategy and technology.

Responsibilities:
• Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking
• Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support
• Develop analysis/tools to track and better understand the underlying drivers of Fleet Feet’s business performance
• Work with cross-functional teams to collect, validate, and analyze data to support ongoing reporting needs and identify areas for operational improvement
• Generate/run monthly financial reports and dashboards
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and on-going budget to actual reviews, revising forecasts as necessary
• Perform trend analysis and financial reviews to support financial forecasting and models
• Assist with ad hoc analysis requests
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• Passion for numbers, analytics, and data
• Proficient in financial modeling concepts
• Analytical with a strong aptitude for statistics or analytics
• Independent thinker with the ability to identify patterns and communicate key insights clearly and confidently
• Technically savvy, highly proficient in Excel, and enjoys learning new techniques and software platforms
• Problem-solver who enjoys challenges and takes pride in creating the right solution
• Excellent communicator with the ability to listen and adapt
• Communicate professionally with the team, staff, and customers
• Builds and maintains trust from the team, staff, and customers by using sound judgment
• Passionate, positive, self-motivated and detail-oriented

Additional Requirements:  Position requires occasional moving around with light (1-10lbs.) carrying, lifting, pushing or pulling. The position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access files, office equipment, etc. The position is mostly sedentary and requires the employee to have close visual acuity to perform job requirements. The position requires frequent communication with team members and repetitive motion with the hands, wrists and/or fingers while constantly utilizing a computer. This position is located within an office environment and is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
