Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer (Per Diem)

ZoomCare is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer for our Super Clinic, ZoomCare’s ER alternative! As a member of our team, you’ll work alongside a dynamic group of Board Certified Emergency Physicians, Imaging Technologists, and Associates, delivering superior imaging services in a new, modern clinic equipped with state-of-the-art technology.

Some Highlights
  • No overnights required! ZoomCare Super is open every day from 7AM - 12AM.
  • Apply independent, professional, ethical judgment, and critical thinking to safely perform diagnostic sonography procedures. 
  • Review patient medical history and supporting clinical information.
  • Apply independent judgment during the sonography examination to ensure that appropriate anatomical, pathological, and clinical conditions are accurately captured in the examination images.
  • Review examination images, synthesize examination results, and prepare the preliminary findings.
  • Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with privacy laws (e.g., HIPAA) and facility policies, and procedures.
  • Provide preliminary reports of sonography examinations for use by the interpreting physician.
  • Assist with the daily operation of the sonography facility.
  • Perform quality control procedures to ensure that the ultrasound equipment operates at optimal levels.
  • Exercise responsibility to ensure that the ultrasound equipment is functioning accurately.
  • Assume responsibility for the preventive maintenance program for ultrasound equipment.
  • Operate the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS). 
  • Exercise responsibility for the maintenance and accuracy of facility reports, database records, and logs.
  • Ensure that the sonography examination results meet the facility standards for Quality Assurance before findings are released for interpretation.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with co-workers, administrators, and members of the health care team.

Requirements
  • Graduate from a CAAHEP-accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
  • Active certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) in: Abdomen
  • OB/GYN or willingness to obtain registry within 12 months of hire
  • Minimum of 2 years experience performing Ultrasound in a large healthcare facility
  • Current approved CPR card
  • Must be available for on-call

Strongly Preferred 
  • Registry in Vascular Technology
  • Experience with or interest in learning Musculoskeletal ultrasound

Compensation: Hourly Pay Rate is $48-$56 dependent on experience 

COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement 
As an organization devoted to the health and well-being of our community, ZoomCare requires its employees to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 including 2 doses of a 2-dose series or 1 dose of a 1-dose series plus 14 days beyond the final dose prior to start date.

N95 Fit Testing and Safety Mandate
ZoomCare requires clinical staff to be fit tested upon hire and wear respirators when required. In accordance with CSA/OSHA regulations all ZoomCare clinic staff must be clean shaven where the respirator seals to the face for fit testing or when wearing the respirator. Acceptable facial hair for respirator fit testing and use DOES NOT interfere with the respirator sealing surface, valve or respirator function.
