Salary: $46,696 to $69,107
 
Appointment Type: Full-time, Permanent. Promotion potential to GS-11
Requirement:  A business related college degree that includes at least 24 hours of accounting credit is required to qualify. Up to 6 hours of business law counts towards the 24-credit hour requirement.

Closing Date extended to June 30, 2023.
 
Duty Station: Tulsa, Oklahoma
 
Incentives may be authorized including: Permanent Change of Station ( PCS)/ Student Loan Repayment Incentive MAY be authorized

RESPONSIBILITIES:
·       Serve as an accounting technical expert for the Military and Civil Programs.
·       Plan, make decisions, and provide technical assistance with respect to the most desirable accounting techniques to be employed in accomplishing objectives.
·       Interpret the accounting policies of immediate and long-range activities.
·       Assure sufficient flexibility in accounting policy to meet changing accounting needs as created by fluctuations in financial management practices or mission modifications
·       Respond to inquiries of a non-routine or unusual nature.
·       Participates in decision-making sessions with district managers on the appropriate processes and procedures necessary to accomplish mission requirements.
·       Reviews, evaluates, and recommends improvements for the District accounting procedures, reports, and operational areas.
·       Coordinate with all levels internal and external to the district as necessary to assure integrity of financial records and processes.
·       Responsible for assuring conformity to regulatory guidance for the Civil, Military, and
·       Revolving Fund accounting programs and the systems accounting function.

Other Information:
·       TDY travel is required up to 10%.
·       Incumbents must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
·       Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
·       You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
·       Two-year trial/probationary period may be required.
·       Direct deposit of pay is required.
·       Vacation and Sick leave. 11 paid Federal Holidays
·       Appointment may be subject to a suitability determination, as determined by a background investigation.
·       This is a Career Program (CP) 11 – Financial Management Level 2 Certified position as such in accordance with the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Public Law 112-81, Subtitle F-Financial Management, section 1051, amending 10 United Stated Code, section 1599d. Incumbent of this position is required to comply with all Department of Defense and Department of the Army requirements of this certification program. This certification requirement is a condition of employment for this position. Failure to obtain this certification within the required time may subject incumbent to adverse action.
