Kontoor Brands’ Summer Intern Program is packed with projects, networking socials, cross-functional learning, and the chance to connect with industry trailblazers like our Executive Leadership Team. Previous interns have taken on projects as subject matter experts and social architects to engineer solutions through social media, Go-To-Market strategies, and denim designs. Participants can also take advantage of opportunities to explore interests in Social Issues, Sustainability, Career Fairs, Community Outreach and more. Our 10-week, full-time paid internship runs from June 5th to August 11th. Start your journey with us and take your career to the next level!

Most roles follow our Hybrid Model in Greensboro, NC – Remote options may be available 
 
Summer Intern, Finance: Become the Newest Member of Kontoor Brands 
The intern will work in the accounting function for Kontoor brands.  They will report directly to the Chief Accounting Officer but in that role will also support the various controller functions in North America (North America Accounting, Corp and Services Accounting, and Financial Reporting).  There are a number of transformational projects that we will be managing during the summer and the intern will get firsthand experience in understanding the projects, along with monthly closes, quarterly financial reporting, and problem solving.   

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Help project manage open priorities 
  • Review financial statements and press releases 
  • Work on policy updates 
  • Assist with monthly financial closes 

Skills for Success: 

  • Organized and proactive 
  • Technical Skills (i.e. MS Excel, Access, SAP would be a bonus)  

Experience/Education: 
  • Pursing a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in accounting or finance 
  • At least some intermediate accounting classes 

Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements: 

  • Travel by air and overnight. 
  • May require longer hours during closing period

  • Eligible to work in the US without restrictions  
  • Have previously demonstrated leadership skills through school, extracurricular activities and/or community involvement  
  • Exceptional at taking on challenges and using your unique set of skills to create solutions 
  • A self-starter, ability to work with others in a team environment, with a passion for helping others  
  • Knowledgeable of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)
