Technical Engineering Intern
As an intern at Synopsys, you will gain hands-on experience while working alongside industry professionals. You will develop and refine skills relevant to your major and future career by contributing to high-impact business projects. The Synopsys intern program integrates our interns into the culture with career opportunities upon graduation. This summer internship is full-time (40 hours/week) beginning May/June 2023 and will last three months.
Responsibilities:
The Infrastructure team supports and manages more than 150k cpu’s worldwide that are used by over 5000 engineers. Our compute farm enables large scale runs of critical applications and simulations. Our goal is to provide reliable, scalable and automated infrastructure that enables our engineering teams to develop, test and debug quality IP. As an intern, you will work on developing and automating policies for job memory resource requests. You will use data analytics to learn the memory usage patterns in the compute farm and propose default memory requirements for the jobs to be run in the farm.
Requirements:
- Understanding and experience in object-oriented design
- Experience in scripting languages, preferably python
- Experience with MySQL database is preferred
- Background and experience in machine leaning/ data mining algorithms
- UNIX/Linux user knowledge
- Currently enrolled in college pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree
The base salary range across the U.S. for this role is between $24.00 to $48.05. In addition, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses.
