Global Marketing Editorial Summer Intern

About our group:

A global leader for more than 40 years, Seagate Technology crafts precision-engineered data storage and management solutions to meet the needs of today’s consumers and tomorrow’s applications. Guided by our core values of integrity, innovation, and inclusion, Seagate is committed to helping people maximize data's potential, so that together we can maximize humanity’s.

Seagate is seeking an outgoing and talented marketing intern to join the Brand Creative team, a subsect of our Global Marketing Organization. Reporting directly to Brand Creative’s Editorial Lead, you'll lean heavily into the narrative side of things—partnering with copywriters, designers, video, and stakeholders to drive Seagate’s story and product roadmap forward. This is an exciting opportunity to help expand our capabilities while gaining real-world experience in brand building, product marketing, and the tech industry.

About the role - you will:

  • Get the insider’s look at Seagate’s brand identity, voice and tone, editorial guidelines, and design standards—and put it all to work within your assigned projects.
  • Attend project kickoffs and work closely with the Brand Creative team, project managers, and key stakeholders to tackle editorial content projects and meet deadlines.
  • Strengthen Seagate’s Brand narrative through compelling written content across all asset types, including long-form, short-form, and everything in between.
  • We cater to consumer, business, and enterprise audiences—you’ll likely touch a little bit of each.

About you:

You’re a natural storyteller. You find joy in capturing the big picture—complex as it may be—and distilling it down to its essence. The thought of mapping out disparate details, zeroing in on key concepts, pitching the big idea, and then bringing it to life through campaigns, product launches, events, and beyond...seriously excites you. You feed off others’ input and expertise, but you also know the value of setting aside time for quiet reflection and “doing the work.” You’re strategic. You’re curious. And most of all, you’re excited to dig in and learn.

Your Skills (and Those You’re Building Upon)
  • Persuasive language and brand storytelling
  • Microsoft Office products and collaborative project management tools such as Wrike
  • SEO strategy
  • Proofreading and editing
  • Brand voice (building it, evolving it, adhering to it)
  • Effectively planning/prioritizing/managing projects—and your schedule
  • Articulating thoughts and ideas in meetings
  • Listening, note taking, and synthesizing
  • Collaborative brainstorming
  • Embracing progress over perfection
  • Shifting gears when strategy changes course
  • Keeping cool under pressure
