KEEE Economic Analyst Position
Are you excited about finding economic solutions for environmental problems? Have you performed economic analyses related to environmental issues? Kapur Energy Environment Economics, LLC (KEEE) is a small, woman-owned Charlottesville, Virginia based consulting firm that specializes in providing economically feasible sustainability, climate and policy solutions to our clients. 

We have a supportive work environment and we seek a talented analyst who is not afraid of finding innovative economic solutions for our clients’ energy and/or environmental problems. As an economic analyst you will get to perform some or all of the following functions:
  • Analyze the demand, supply and market structure of an industry
  • Collect industry production/shipment, export, import, consumption, sales, employment and other market data
  • Examine industry organization/concentration and pricing
  • Analyze energy intensive processes and their environmental impact
  • Help determine what the impact of environmental regulation would be on the industry, through economic modeling
  • Analyze energy, water and other utility consumption data
  • Benchmark building utility consumption against other similar buildings
  • Conduct life cycle analyses of conservation opportunities
  • Estimate greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reductions from conservation options

Our ideal candidate is someone who confronts an environmental issue and doesn’t leave without finding solutions based on sound economic analysis. Someone who is proficient with understanding economic fundamentals and applying them to sustainability questions.

Since this job will be performed at different locations throughout the United States, you don't need to be located in Charlottesville, Virginia to do the work, but be willing to work remotely.

What we need:
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
  • Experience and level of comfort performing literature reviews, gathering data and conducting economic analyses
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills and ability to develop reports in a short timeframe
  • Knowledge of and/or experience with economic modeling and optimization would be a plus:
