The purpose of this internship is to provide undergraduate students with exposure to the actual preparation of felony level cases going to trial. Participants will be given individual opportunities to review evidence of live cases, as well as participate in group workshops to develop the trial strategy for an upcoming trial. This internship requires a minimum of 3 hours per week during the school year (interns set their own schedule) along with a monthly Saturday workshop that can be attended virtually.

Participation in this school year internship will give candidates the opportunity to attend the summer intensive internship program along with Law school students. The summer program will include intensive training on cross-examination techniques, Georgia 4th Amendment law, law on specific charges, as well as trial demonstrative evidence. The training will provide undergraduates with a unique early exposure to law student grade material.

Upon completion of the summer program, undergraduate interns will be given greater opportunities to participate in actual trials as well as managing/supervising new undergraduate students entering the school year internship.

Some educational institutions require prior approval before the start of an internship. It is the responsibility of the student to check with their institution to be sure they meet any requirements before they accept a position.
