2023 Global Clinical Supply Intern

The Future Talent Program features internships that last up to 12 weeks and will include one or more projects. These opportunities in our Research & Development Division can provide you with great development and a chance to see if we are the right company for your long-term goals.

Our Research & Development Division’s Global Clinical Supply organization is responsible for managing an 'end-to-end' integrated clinical supply chain. We support all Phase I-IV clinical programs and are accountable for the compliant packaging, labeling, and delivery of clinical supplies to clinical sites around the world. Operations and Supply Technology (OST) in West Point, PA, Rahway, NJ, and Lucerne, Switzerland is an innovation-focused group building and improving clinical supply packaging, labeling, and delivery capabilities for our clinical supplies. OST also pilots and installs technologies enabling real-time tracking and management of our supplies worldwide, ensuring maximum survivability and utility. 

We are seeking intern candidates at all levels with strong academic performance, communication skills, teamwork, and the ability to work in a multi- functional environment. The student will participate in departmental and project team meetings that will provide a broad perspective on the clinical supply management and production in the pharmaceutical industry. In addition, the student will have an opportunity to present their project results in both oral and written formats. During your internship you will work closely with an experienced project manager with key tasks that include, but not limited to, the following:

  • Pilot, risk assess, and develop processes to install good manufacturing practices (GMP)-compliant technologies that will enable us to better distribute, track, and manage our clinical supply.
  • Support the purchase and installation of new equipment providing new or improved capabilities for our internal clinical packaging and labeling operations.
  • Support planned renovations aimed at modernizing our internal packaging, labeling, and distribution facilities.

Locations: West Point, PA; Rahway, NJ

Required Education and Experience:

  • Candidates must be a currently enrolled undergraduate sophomore, junior, or senior student pursuing a Bachelor's degree OR a currently enrolled graduate student pursuing an Master's or PhD in a scientific, engineering, or Information Technology discipline
  • Candidates must be available for 12 weeks beginning in June 2023
  • Candidates must have completed at least (2) years of studies toward bachelor’s degree by June 2023

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Candidates should have an interest in project management, have a growth mindset and an interest in supply chain
  • Candidates should have a GPA of 3.0 or higher
