What We Can Achieve Together:
 
The Youth Conservation Corps Manager will oversee and manage a six-week program designed to expose youth to conservation careers. The Youth Conservation Corps Manager will work closely with partner agencies to develop and identify a variety of work-based projects that expose ten high-school- aged youth to conservation careers. They will hire and supervise a team leader to assist with managing the program and ten youth interns to participate in the program. This position requires daily local travelling and managing youth. The work will be performed in a general office setting and outdoor settings with some exposure to disagreeable elements.

someone with strong experience in leading a diverse group of youth interns.
 
This is a term position for up to eight months. A housing stiped will be provided. Salary for this 
position will begin at $34,800, plus benefits, for the eight month term.
 
The ideal candidate should have experience managing youth in an outdoor work environment. The candidate should have good interpersonal and project management skills to complete work on deadlines. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the ongoing mission of conservation by promoting diversity in conservation!
 
What You’ll Bring:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Business, Environmental Education, Outdoor Recreation or related field and 5 years related experience or equivalent combination.
  • Ability to meet all Conservancy Youth Qualification requirements and background checks.
  • Experience managing business relationships such as donors, partners, members.
  • Communication skills experience, including proofreading documents.
  • Project management skills.
  • Public speaking experience.
  • Supervisory experience.
