Assistant Manager
This is a full-time position for a seasonal summer business, so your responsibilities and work flexibility will vary depending on in-season and off-season schedule. In-season schedule applies from May to Labor Day and will require a 6-day work week in Townsend (6th day earns additional PTO). Off-season schedule applies from the week after Labor Day to May of the following year and will require a 40-hour work week with lots of flexibility. Your position includes a year-end bonus, benefits, and PTO (redeemable only during off-season).

Responsibilities and Duties
- Assist General Manager with upholding company standards and culture through operations management (including but not limited to the following)
- Provide employees with leadership and direction that align with River Rat’s best practices at both locations (overall operations, stocking, cleaning, etc.)
- Assist with hiring, training, and developing new and current employees
- Ensure company policies are followed
- Resolve customer issues and provide high-quality customer service
- Assist with managing retail and inventory levels
- Assist with employee scheduling and leave requests
- Complete tasks assigned by General Manager accurately and efficiently
- Assist Marketing Director with marketing efforts primarily during off-season (including but not limited to the following)
- Manage social media message responses (all seasons)
- Assist in monitoring reviews on multiple platforms (all seasons)
- Assist with social media post creation
- Assist in communicating with company partners, large groups, and other contacts
- Assist in media collection
- Accompany Marketing Director to some trade shows and networking events
Qualifications and Requirements
- Intermediate experience with Excel and Google Drive
- Written and oral communication skills
- Organized with attention to detail
- Team-oriented
- Dedicated to customer satisfaction and great customer experience
- Has the ability to work autonomously when required
- Must have a clean driving record and be able to be carried by company insurance (DMV report required)
- Own a dependable vehicle with the ability to get to and from multiple locations
Physical Requirements
- The ability to perform the following:
- Lift and carry (up to 30lbs)
- Push/pull boxes of inventory or equipment
- Kneeling, squatting, and reaching overhead
- Driving with no physical restrictions
- Walking/standing for extended periods of time
- Ability to work outside in natural elements (potential inclement weather)
