Research Coordinator II

Position Highlights:
  • Challenging and interesting work with participants and stakeholders
  • Assist with research project focused on increasing Black and Hispanic patient enrollment to Moffitt therapeutic clinical trials using community outreach and digital approaches
  • Recruiting and consenting eligible participants 
  • Collection of data and questionnaires 
  • Assisting with planning and implementation of meetings and logistics of internal and external stakeholders
  • Engaging with community stakeholders to support community facing intervention components
  • Will contribute to dissemination of research results, for example preparing first drafts of manuscripts for the Principal Investigators

Responsibilities:
  • Provide general research support to Principal Investigators, research team, and community outreach team
  • Identify, recruit, and enroll participants
  • Schedule and coordinate research team meetings, trainings for community outreach teams, and education events with stakeholders
  • Under the direction of the Principal Investigators, search for and retrieve relevant scientific literature
  • Collect, enter, and manage data in multiple databases (e.g., Excel, Access, SPSS, etc.), ensuring data integrity and fidelity
  • Assist Principal Investigators in data base development, data management, and data analyses as appropriate
  • Perform quality assurance and quality control data checks
  • Independently prepare a comprehensive first draft of documents for submission to the IRB, for review by senior study personnel and/or principal investigator
  • Document protocol exemptions and deviations, as appropriate
  • Prepare the data, figures and references for manuscripts and scientific presentations
  • Assist with report preparation, development of manuscripts, and conference abstracts/posters
 
Credentials and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with 1 year of relevant experience required OR Associate's degree required with 3 years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree with no experience
  • Hands on research experience
  • Experience in the use of basic office equipment
  • Experience working with computers and MS Office software environment
  • Must have the ability to work well under the pressure of meeting mandatory deadlines
  • Must have good organizational skills and careful attention to details
  • Good oral and written communication skills are required
  • Need to have the ability to read, write, interpret, and apply instructions to assigned activities
  • English-Spanish bilingual preferred, but not required
