SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER & MARKETER (Internship Opportunity)

We are Warriors First Inc. a veteran-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in Virginia. Our mission is to help at-risk service members (regardless of duty status) by providing temporary housing (in what will be micro-community housing), financial assistance, and allocation of services that each client is looking for, such as job searching, interview prep, resume writing, mental health services, peer support, and much more.

We have already started reaching out and partnering with other local organizations within our area; however, we are looking for a part-time Volunteer SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER & MARKETER that can bring their skills to our organization to help us grow and thrive.

Must be proficient in performing the following:

  • Increase awareness of our organization by leading initiatives to: increase social media following (Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter) and enhance SEO, traffic, and activity on our website.
  • Collaborate with and coordinate activities with other team members (marketing and management) to promote both online fundraising campaigns and event fundraisers.
  • Create and publish content on our social media platforms to drive donations to our nonprofit.
  • Promote on social media and market what will be an e-commerce store (type: drop-shipping) to help raise funds for our organization.
  • Attend meetings as needed (remote via phone and/or conference calls via Telegram).

This is an unpaid, ongoing internship opportunity. Your work with us can be added to your resume for work experience, and we will certify all work experience and/or volunteer hours. We will also provide letters of recommendation or reference letters as needed.

We are open to both types of work, local and remote. Every Volunteer will have to sign a Volunteer Agreement before coming aboard. No COVID testing.
