Health Plan Operations Intern
This role will be hybrid reporting to the office in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Learn various job functions within the Managed Care industry and explore various career opportunities
Apply academic knowledge and learn new skills by contributing to various projects
Research various legal, regulatory, and other topics within functional area and industry
Attend training and development presentations to enhance professional competencies
Position Purpose:
The intern will be supporting our Operations department with special projects to include the Provider Data Management team and the Marketing/Community Relations team. Learn about various processes and functions within the Managed Care industry and develop professionally by contributing to projects that support the business.
Duties:
- Call providers and update information in our system directory
- Verify provider information for data accuracy
- Assist with any other work and projects as needed for the Operations department
Experience/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent. Must be enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited university or college, preferably in health professions, business healthcare administration, social science, or another field related to the hiring department through the internship period. Preferably you have phone experience, good computer/Excel and data entry skills.
