The Sauk Rapids-Rice Public School District No. 47 is seeking an experienced and innovative individual to provide excellent leadership as an Assistant Principal to students at Pleasantview Elementary School. Located in Sauk Rapids, MN, minutes from downtown St. Cloud and approximately an hour northwest of the Twin Cities. Pleasantview Elementary is located in the City of Sauk Rapids, and provides quality education to 700+ students by approximately 100+ staff members.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Serve as a partner with the principal in carrying out the district's vision, mission and goals
- Assist the principal in the overall administration of the school; interpret and enforce school policies and procedures
- Actively participate in the recruitment, selection, staff development and evaluation of staff members
- Work as an advocate for all students
- Supervise, monitor and support students with behavior and academic programming
- Facilitate staff, student, and parent/guardian meetings
- Support teachers in effective lesson plans and classroom preparation
- Create a positive school climate to establish a thriving learning culture
- Provide leadership in developing staff competencies to meet the diverse needs of students
- Partner with the principal in management of day to day operations of the school including, but not limited to creating a master schedule, Security/Safety, plan and manage summer school and other student programs

Required Qualifications:
- Hold a current Minnesota teaching license
- Hold a current Minnesota Principal License or currently enrolled in a Principal licensure program at an accredited University or College
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience as an elementary teacher and/or administrator
- Hold a current Minnesota Teaching License with elementary education or K-5 specialist
- Hold a Minnesota Teaching License with a Professional Administrative K-12 Principal endorsement
Contract:
Full-time, 215 day contract starting July 1, 2023. Salary negotiated based on the Sauk Rapids-Rice Principal Association's Agreement.
