Work on an island! Quinipet Camp & Retreat Center offers both a day and an overnight camp for boys and girls ages 5-16. We are a traditional camp with program areas in Sailing, Arts, Sports, Outdoor Adventure/STEM. We provide all meals during camp, laundry facilities, a staff lounge with wifi and a fridge, and van shuttles around the island.

Quinipet is looking to fill multiple roles this summer!

Some positions currently available are:

Counselors:
  • Activity Counselors are the primary caregivers for each camper, ensuring their overall care and well-being. They are responsible for planning, teaching, coordinating, and leading one or more activities. They will live with campers, lead cabin activities, and guide campers in their personal growth and daily living skills.
  • Waterfront Counselors are lifeguards as well as counselors for campers. Strong swim ability is required as all lifeguards will take the Red Cross Lifeguarding course to become certified. Waterfront counselors will live with campers and perform lifeguarding duties when campers swim!
  • Sailing Counselors specialize in sailing during the day and return to cabins as counselors in the evening. Help in providing a safe, fun instructional sailing program. Must be proficient in powerboat operation and sailing American 18 Day Sailers, Optis, FJs, and Picos. US Sailing Level 1 certification, international certification (RYA Level 3 Dinghy, etc), or the equivalent skills desired.

Leadership Staff:
  • Store Manager/Office Assistant is responsible for organizing logistics and assisting with registration, camp store, and camper forms. The office assistant gets hands-on experience with administrative tasks. Manage the Camp Store inventory and sales. Oversee other leadership staff that are helping work the register during store periods.​
  • Activity Head Counselors are responsible for supervising the counselors and programming occurring within their respective activity areas. Activity Heads are responsible for ensuring programming is engaging and age-appropriate. Positions available: Head of Outdoor Adventure/STEM and Head of Arts
  • Head Counselors supervise counselors and the well-being of their campers. Foster a nurturing camp environment and encourage counselors to support growth within each individual camper and their camper groups. Oversee and facilitate cabin/group activity programming. Communicate with parents and provide support to counselors as needed. Two positions are available: Head of Day Camp and Head of Senior (12-16) Boys.
  • Spiritual Life Coordinator, Responsible for fostering a vibrant spiritual community for campers and staff. Coordinate creative and engaging morning and evening worship and provide guidance to campers and staff. Must be comfortable nurturing the spiritual and mental health of our campers and staff. Ideal opportunity for a student or recent graduate to develop pastoral counseling skills. A Bachelors in religious studies, psychology, education, or related field is required; Master of Divinity, seminary, and/or camp ministry experience is preferred.
