Summer Camp Youth Counselor Internships 2024

Paid summer internships are available with the Blue Ridge Mountains Council, Scouting BSA, serving as a youth Counselor at Camp Powhatan, Camp Ottari, or Claytor Lake Aquatics Base in Pulaski County, VA.

Responsibilities: Counselors mentor youth age 11 to 17 years old while teaching a special skills area such as nature ecology, swimming, watersports, shooting sports, handicrafts, outdoor skills and more. Training is provided, but you must have a passion to work with youth in the great outdoors! Lodging and meals provided at no cost in addition to pay. Eight-week terms available.  The Blue Ridge Scout Reservation is 13,700 acres of wilderness and home to Camp Powhatan and Camp Ottari.
