Performer – Liarsville Klondike Trail Camp
Live and work with us this summer in beautiful SE Alaska!
As a Performer, you will use improv, comedy & music to bring to life re-creation of the Klondike Gold Rush trail camp that existed on the Liarsville property during the late1890’s. You will play the role of a gold rush “madam” or eager “prospector” in a vaudeville-style show. Performers are responsible for creating an engaging, lively and entertaining atmosphere for guests as they enjoy 3 distinct experiences at this outdoor venue; the Trail Camp, the Hippodrome Theatre & the Gold Panning Field. Outgoing, entertaining personality, prior acting experience and excellent communication skills required.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Performing, singing & engaging with individual as well as groups of guests
- Participating in rehearsals and theatrical pieces using established scripts
- Creating scripted moments to occur in camp using the talents of this season’s cast to bring the show “off the stage” and create an engaging, entertaining atmosphere
- Sanitary food service during camp snack/meal
- Maintaining the gold panning troughs, salting gold pans, recovering/sluicing troughs weekly
- Ensuring camp property including facilities, equipment, props & restrooms are cleaned & maintained daily to a high standard
- Managing pre-season setup & end of season breakdown
- Creating a positive, professional culture and work environment
- Understanding and compliance with company safety & operational policies
$17/hr plus tips!
