Benefits Communications Internship

A sound benefits package is a plus but only if our clients and their employees know and understand what’s available to them. OneDigital’s Communications Team provides engaging year-round communications to help our clients employees not only understand their benefits but also appreciate them.  
 
The Benefits Communication Intern based out of North Bethesda, MD, supports the Mid-Atlantic Communications Department in a shared service capacity. The Communications Intern is responsible for assisting the Communications team with day-to-day needs and supporting the development and execution of effective communication strategies by updating marketing pieces to educate our clients’ employees on their benefit plans and understanding benefits.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to): 
 
  • Collects and organizes project requests from account teams  
  • Edits and customizes existing member-facing benefits communication templates. This includes presentations, booklets, benefit portals, flyers, video campaigns, etc.  
  • Uploads slide decks and assists with voiceovers for Brainshark presentations 
  • Creates content for open enrollment and new hire postcards and digital postcards  
  • Understands and applies client branding to client campaign materials 
  • Coordinate printing and mailing requests between client/account team and printing vendor  
  • Extract analytic reports from digital platforms 
  • Assists with reviewing overall appearance and formatting of multiple page documents such as guides and RFP’s

Education, Training and Experience: 
 
  • Ideal candidate is an undergraduate student in communications, public relations, marketing, digital media, graphic design, or a development-related field.  
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products  
  • Spanish skills not required but a plus!
