IT Cybersecurity Intern
Position Summary
Interns will be part of the IT Security Team and work with the Infrastructure and Product cybersecurity teams across multiple security domains, including Governance Risk and Compliance, Vulnerability and Risk Management, Information Security and Awareness, Cloud Security, and Security Operations in Mentor, OH. You may support a variety of IT projects by gathering requirements for development, designing and testing of security solutions, enhancement and support of our security solutions, and creating automation solutions.
What You'll Do..
- Assist in analyzing Threat Intelligence and creating briefing materials.
- Assist with implementation and support of cybersecurity protections.
- Assist with developing recommended system hardening practices based on CIS recommendations
- Assist with performing security compliance checks.
- Assist with cybersecurity incident response activities.
- Assist with the Information Security and Awareness Training program.
- Assist with the Vulnerability and Risk Management Programs.
What You'll Need To Be Successful..
Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, Cybersecurity or related field.
GPA of 3.0 or above
Ability to work 40 hours per week in the Mentor, OH office throughout the summer.
Strong communication skills to successfully interact with employees and management.
Strong analytical skills.
Ability to complete assignments in a timely manner with attention to detail.
Ability to establish priorities and manage multiple tasks.
Ability to maintain confidentiality while dealing with sensitive information.
