The Child & Adolescent Services Team (CAST) is seeking a full-time licensed therapist to join our outpatient (mental health and substance abuse) team. CAST is a fun-loving and energetic team that highly values continuing professional growth, self-care, and a supportive work environment. The position is 40 hours per week and includes a mix of individual/family therapy and mental health case management services for children and adolescents with mental health and/or substance use issues. Some evening work (six hours after 5:00 each week) is required to meet the needs of the families we serve.
 
The Child and Adolescent Services Team (CAST) is a group of professionals that work as a part of a team with expertise and training in utilizing Motivational Interviewing, TF-CBT, DBT, and EMDR. CAST clinicians have extensive experience treating addictive behaviors in traumatized children and adolescents. Successful applicants will be well versed in motivational interviewing, Trauma-informed Care, family therapy interventions, and partnering with community resources. Functions include clinical assessment/diagnosis, treatment planning, documentation in EHR, case management, individual, family, and group therapy. Perform other work as required.

Successful candidate will possess a master's degree in a Human Services field such as psychology, counseling, or social work, and at least three years of relevant professional therapy experience in a mental health and substance abuse treatment setting with youth and families; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Experience working with youth who have co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders preferred. Applicants with specialized training in evidence-based treatment models such as Motivational Interviewing, EMDR or Trauma-Focused CBT are strongly encouraged to apply. Applicants must have direct clinical experience working with traumatized youth with addictive behaviors. Professional licensure in Virginia (such as LCSW, LPC, LMFT, etc.) is required. Successful applicants will be well-versed in the systems of care approach for children and adolescents, cognitive-behavioral treatment interventions, stages of change, and trauma-informed care. Verbal and written fluency in both Spanish and English is preferred. Pre-employment drug testing, FBI criminal background check and education/degree verification required.
