Oncology Bioscience Summer Intern
Location: Waltham, MA
We are currently seeking rising undergraduate students working towards a degree in Biology, biochemistry, chemistry, or related field for a 10-12 week internship during the summer of 2023.
Objectives/Goals of the Position:
- Gain practical, bench-based drug discovery experience in a pharmaceutical setting
- Learn cutting-edge research in cancer drug development
Primary Duties:
- Design and performing a variety of molecular and cellular biology experiments including cell culture, western blot, RT-PCT, CRISPR-based gene editing, etc.
- Maintain multiple cancer cell lines to support research activities
- Test drug candidates using biochemical and cell based assays
- Collect and analyze experimental results; Record experimental procedures and scientific findings in lab notebook
- Summarize and present frequent updates at project team meeting
Position Requirements:
- Rising undergraduate students working towards a degree in Biology, biochemistry, chemistry, or related field.
- Minimum grade point average of 3.0
