GTO-A Intern for Critical Reagent 2nd Sourcing
Location: Frederick, MD
We are currently seeking rising undergraduate sophomores or juniors, master or Ph-D level students working towards a science-based degree for a 10-12 week internship during the summer of 2023.
Objectives/Goals of the Position:
Participate in the development of a robust business process for second sourcing of critical reagents to support commercial products and safe guard AstraZeneca against unnecessary
business risks.
Primary Duties:
- Generate a database of reagents with second sourcing options currently in place and identify where gaps exist.
- Determine which reagents provide the highest level of business risk.
- In collaboration with procurement develop a business process for how these reagents and risk are communicated as requiring second sources.
- Develop a capabilities requirements list for AZ to use in assessing potential vendors.
- Proceduralize the process for implementation in business as usual activities.
Position Requirements:
- Rising undergraduate sophomores or juniors, master or Ph-D level students working towards a science-based degree.
- Basic computer (e.g., Excel) and documentation skills required.
- Experience with PowerBI and PowerAutomate desired, but not required.
- Minimum grade point average of 3.0
