CITY OF BALTIMORE
MAYOR'S OFFICER OF CHILDREN AND FAMILY SUCCESS
YOUTH ENGAGEMENT COORDINATOR INTERNSHIP
(2 positions)

Responsibilities
• The successful candidate(s) will work closely with the Youth Engagement Manager (YEM), the Youth Engagement Coordinator will by demonstrate leadership skills and competencies to advance the mission, vision, purpose, and core values of the Mayor’s Office of Children & Family Success (MOCFS)
• Assist in the development, implementation, and coordination of MOCFS Youth Engagement programs, activities, and resources ensuring responsible oversight of operations for the following MOCFS initiatives:

o Youth Commissioner Board
oYouth Summit 2023
o BMore Lit Series
o Mayor’s Back-to-School Event
o YouthWorks Summer Fun

• Represent MOCFS by conducting outreach, attending meetings, and preparing and delivering trainings and presentations that support MOCFS’ efforts to help youth build foundational skills (e.g. communication, conflict resolution, active listening, relationship building)
• Work closely with YEM to ensure all programs, events, resources, and services are shared with youth and assist with planning and coordinating activities between Baltimore youth and surrounding communities
• Collaborate with MOCFS’ Communications Team and support content creation to enhance communications targeting youth programs and services through social media and external platforms
• Program evaluation support, data keeping and maintain accurate records
• Other duties and responsibilities as needed; must be reliable

• SALARY: $14.50 per hour
• Three (3) days per week / five (5) hours per day
