Visual Design Intern

The Role: Visual Design Intern
Breaktime is looking for a design intern who is skilled in the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, XD, InDesign) (listed in order of preferred competency) with an innate curiosity and desire to contribute. The ideal candidate would be able to work 20-30 hours a week. This superstar should be comfortable working on multiple projects at once and taking the initiative to seek out answers rather than waiting to be told. The position works closely with the Visual Design Team to create assets for advertising campaigns, marketing materials and a wide variety of additional digital content needs. The primary focus will be campaign graphics and day-to-day client work, while also pitching in when needed on editorial design, ui/ux and social content. This role will give the candidate the ability to interact with a variety of different company departments including content, client service, sales, product and engineering while developing critical skills to apply to future career growth.
 
Responsibilities include:

  • Creating campaign graphics that follow respective brand guidelines for advertisers like General Mills, Barilla, Mars and Unilever 
  • Supporting the Visual Design Team with stock photo research and building out adobe cloud libraries
  • Work closely with Visual Design Lead, Visual Design Associate and Copywriters
  • Develop marketing materials and collateral to be used in the field with clients and prospects 
  • Incorporate changes recommended by the clients into the final design
  • Work under tight deadlines and multiple projects 
  • Support the Editorial and Marketing team with content and graphics for dailybreak.com and bestdailyrecipes.com
