Financial Administrator - Jesus Film Project

Summary of Position Description
This role is required to approach this position with Cru in a manner that seeks, individually and with others, the guidance of the Holy Spirit through prayer. Under the direction of the Finance Manager, the Finance Coordinator helps accomplish a variety of finance and accounting responsibilities (with contracts as the highest priority) that help the Digital Strategies department accomplish its purpose, which is: “to partner with the body of Christ and create digital experiences to help everyone make relevant connections and deepen engagement with Jesus and the Great Commission.”

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

For this role:
  • Coordinate the department’s contracts ensuring timely processing and routing to appropriate signing authorities. Provide training and consultation to other administrative staff as needed with regards to contracts requests and processing. Create and maintain the contracts database.
  • Create a clear and concise process in Asana for completing contract requests in Digital Strategies (DS).
  • Execute on every step of the contract process, coordinating and communicating with appropriate stakeholders.
  • Communicate with contractors regarding contract renewals, providing 2 month and 1 month notice of contract termination with proposals of new terms and breakdown of previous terms.
  • Represent the Digital Strategies work on the Jesus Film Project (JFP) Legal Guild, brainstorming, troubleshooting, and evaluating JFP’s contract process.
  • Represent Digital Strategies contract requests to JFP’s COO, CFO and Cru’s General Counsel’s Office (GCO).
  • Review/audit monthly budget reports and initiate any clarity needed via email and then advise the Finance Manager of any corrections needed.
  • Become proficient in WESS software in order to ensure it continually meets our needs in the most efficient way and supporting JFP & Campus Crusade for Christ (CCC) policies and procedures. Continually audit to maintain integrity of the data.
  • Assist with the 3x per year Allocation budget process as needed.
  • Assist with the annual department operational budget process as needed.
  • Organize and update financial docs in the DS Google Drive.
  • Track updates of financial guidelines on the Staff Web and provide references to appropriate financial guidelines to Team Leaders.
  • Coordinate additional one-on-one training and/or review of ministry card expense reports for DS supervisors when requested or needed per Finance Manager.

Other Functions (non-essential)
  • Demonstrate and model personal spiritual discipline and assist in development of an environment on the team where individual team members grow in their own Christian walks.
  • Professional development- engage in the Staff Development process including creating and implementing a Professional Development Plan (PDP) targeting areas of growth.
  • Perform related duties or special projects as assigned
  • Participate in the annual Christmas Calling Campaign, completing the required number of dials.

  • Demonstrate proficiency in proofreading and editing legal documents.
  • Become proficient in proprietary software programs and become the subject matter expert for the department, e.g. PeopleSoft and OneStream (training provided).
  • Compose correspondence and communicate information where judgment, knowledge and interpretation of policies and regulations may be necessary.

Education Requirements - Min/Preferred Education Level Description:
Minimum 2 Year / Associate in finance, accounting, legal or project Degree management field
Preferred 4 Year / Bachelors in finance, accounting, legal or project Degree management field

Years Of Experience Necessary: 2 years in a finance focused position, and experience with legal contracts
