Accounting & Finance Internship in South Africa

Use your finance and accounting skills while serving an international organization in South Africa. Get practical experience with the OM Africa finance team, analyzing monthly transactions, building macros for Excel Sheets, and basic capturing of the data from our various fields in Africa. Experience shadowing, mentoring, and training opportunities with successful professionals while participating in an international community—helping invite others to the work that God is doing around the world.

Responsibilities and Duties
• Assist in building macros for Excel Sheets
• Support in basic capturing of the data from our various fields in Africa (Bank analysis, Petty Cash analysis).
• Apply studies of finance in the work environment
• Analyze monthly transactions
• Apply advanced Excel skills to support the finance team

Qualifications and Skills
• Accounting or Finance major
• Completed Sophomore or Junior year of college or Recent Graduate with an accounting/finance degree
• Self-Motivated
• Advanced Excel skills (build macros) is preferred

Additional Info
• All interns must formally accept and abide by OM USA’s Statement of Faith for the duration of the internship.
• International internships are not paid positions and all financial needs should be covered with personal support.
• Pre-internship training happens through online materials and Zoom calls with coaches and other interns for a few weeks leading up to departure date. Includes debriefing with coaches upon return.
• Dates and duration of internships are flexible and should be worked out with the team.

Accreditation
• Degree Credit available upon the approval of your university/college supervisors.
