Real Estate Lease Administrator Intern

Job Scope:

  • The Lease Administrator is to display integrity, loyalty, confidentiality, and professionalism always with co-workers and clients, as well as adhere to the Company's highest standards of ethics. In this highly detail-oriented role, where customer service and pride in your work are crucial to our ongoing success, you will direct and coordinate activities for our Real Estate portfolio by performing the following tasks.
  • Accurately perform administrative functions for multiple properties. Successful candidates will have a positive, professional attitude, be able to multitask and prioritize workload, meet deadlines, follow company procedures, and work independently.
  • Responsible for accurately administering lease documents according to departmental guidelines. Duties include but not limited to reviewing and analyzing lease documentation to establish the required and allowable administration of Lessor’s tenant roster.
  • Abstracting lease payment schedules, options, commencement and termination dates and common area maintenance terms and charges in addition to other items into a lease abstract.
  • Exercise discretion with confidential information.
  • Contribute to team effort by providing information and helping others as needed.
  • Review abstract lease information from Visual Lease tool according to internal procedures.
  • Clarify any vague lease terms or intent with the Senior Manager of Real Estate Strategy and Planning.
  • Communicate and follow up with team members on any missing lease documentation, forms and/or dates.
  • Review suite square footage for accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a masters degree (preferably MBA)
  • Preferably located in the San Francisco bay area
  • Must demonstrate commitment, dependability and respect for other employees with regular attendance, punctuality, and adherence to agreed-upon schedules. Adhere to company policy regarding regular and punctual attendance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be detail-oriented.
  • Very strong computer skills required, including proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Must exhibit a high level of professional etiquette while interacting with employees, team members, outside professionals, and tenants.
  • Complete duties accurately and with minor supervision - be resourceful in order to obtain pertinent details and anticipate what is required to complete all facets of the job independently.
  • Execute all duties to completion according to departmental guidelines and within designated timelines.
  • Must be capable of setting priorities, multi-tasking, and working under pressure.
  • Show ability to analyze work accurately and effectively.

Learning Skills/Outcomes:

  • You will gain valuable skills and learn how a corporate workplace team runs from ground up
  • Learn and shape the process enhancement of lease administration, and gain experience on using Visual Lease tool
  • Hands on work and visibility to senior executives as well as attendance to all leadership presentations, that enhance the program
  • Intern will receive training, as well as frequent coaching and mentoring from a dedicated member of our team
  • Have a meaningful impact on the success of current facilities programs as well as on the improvement of future processes

Availability:

  • Part-time [20 hours per week, 12-week internship]
  • Must be available to start either February 7 or 14, 2023

If you are hired in Colorado or New York, the hourly rate of compensation ranges between $26.00 and $28.00 per hour for part-time employees. This rate may vary depending on your location, skills, and experience.
