Data Analyst

Job Title: Data Analyst

Status: Full-time; Exempt

Typical Work Hours: 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday to Friday

Monex USA guides thousands of clients, from a broad spectrum of industry sectors, through the intricacies of the currency markets. Our unique market insight is widely recognized in main-line business media such as The Wall Street Journal, Reuters, Bloomberg, and CNBC. 

Monex USA is looking for a Data Analyst. This position will produce financial and market intelligence by querying data repositories and generating periodic reports. As well as, devise methods for identifying data patterns and trends in available information sources. This position will work closely with various departments including, but not limited to: Human Resources, Information Technology and Sales Operations. This position will also provide data analysis on our sister company in Europe.

Responsibilities
  • Generate standard or custom Business Intelligence (BI) dashboards, datasets, reports and business presentations summarizing transactional business data, as well as financial, or economic information for review by executives, managers and other stakeholders.
  • Create business intelligence tools and systems, including the design of related databases, spreadsheets, processes, automations and outputs.
  • Systematically collect, transform, normalize and segment business intelligence data from available internal digital sources, financial markets and other public information, and internal departments.
  • Analyze and synthesize business intelligence to support recommendations for business strategy, decisions and actions.
  • Conduct or coordinate tests to ensure that intelligence is consistent with defined needs.
  • Maintain, document and expand a library of model documents, templates, or other reusable knowledge assets.
  • Disseminate information regarding tools, reports, or metadata enhancements.
 
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Actuarial Science, Statistics or Business.
  • Proficient in Power BI, Power Query, DAX and MS Excel
  • Knowledge of SQL, R, M and MS Access
  • Good use of MS PowerPoint
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Proven experience in data intelligence projects and data modeling
  • Previous experience in Financial Services desirable
  • Knowledge of Python

Compensation
The annual salary range is $70,000 to $90,000 based on experience with a 10% annual bonus.

Hiring Process
The application consists of a resume and two years of performance reviews. There will be three rounds of interviews: two virtual rounds and one in-person round.
