🌎 We are Backpacker Trail
Personal experience has taught us that preparing for a backpacking trip is not easy. Which destination suits me? What are the best ways to travel? What costs should I expect? Planning is tedious and time-consuming; the process alone discourages many from realizing their dream of a backpacking adventure. We want to change that!
Backpacker Trail is a German travel start-up. We are developing a web application to enable all backpackers to plan customized trips based on their individual preferences. Our team consists of passionate travelers who truly love living out of a backpack. Together, we are working towards our vision of inspiring people to think outside the box, to be adventurous, and to discover the world.
Sounds interesting? We are looking for remote interns to join the Backpacker Trail team as part of our 3-month internship program in translation. The internship is unpaid.
Tasks

- ...translate content from our German website, blog posts, and other interesting projects
- ...proofread and edit texts from our website
- ...create your own, catching content
- …use your cultural knowledge and experience to optimize the reading experience for readers in the target language
Requirements
💡 You are…
- …a university student in the field of translation/literature/languages or related (unfortunately, this is a must)
- …a fluent speaker of the target language
- …proficient in German and have an instinctive feel of language in general
- …confident in grammar / spelling / punctuation
- …excited about communication through written language
- …reliable, independent, and well organized in remote work
