Personal experience has taught us that preparing for a backpacking trip is not easy. Which destination suits me? What are the best ways to travel? What costs should I expect? Planning is tedious and time-consuming; the process alone discourages many from realizing their dream of a backpacking adventure. We want to change that!
Backpacker Trail is a German travel start-up. We are developing a web application to enable all backpackers to plan customized trips based on their individual preferences. Our tribe consists of passionate travelers who truly love living out of a backpack. Together, we are working towards our vision of inspiring people to think outside the box, to be adventurous, and to discover the world.
Sounds interesting? We are looking for remote interns to join the Backpacker Trail tribe as part of our 3-month internship program in proofreading & editing.
Tasks
You will...
... proofread & edit interesting travel-related texts for our website
… optimize readability and create the best possible reader experience
… apply a style guide and make sure the text matches the tone and style of Backpackertrail
Requirements
You are ...
…a university student (this is a must)
...ideally, you study in the field of literature/languages or related
…a fluent Englisch speaker and have gained experience in an English-speaking country
…confident in grammar / spelling / punctuation
…excited about communication through written language
…reliable, independent, and well organized in remote work
...available for 20, 30, or 40 hours per week for three months (starting date negotiable)
