Strategy Coordinator, Directory Submissions

Kobre & Kim’s Global Strategy Coordinator will support the strategy and execution of important functions for the firm’s relationship touchpoints with business referral networks.

Specifically, This Person Will:
  • Oversee industry ranking submissions, including drafting and editing descriptions of our client case studies and identifying ways to leverage the content for broader marketing purposes.
  • Develop a strong working knowledge of all product and regional offerings and competitive standings in relation to firm-wide directory submissions.
  • Support memorialization and quality of relationship and referral data and intelligence.

This position is ideal for someone with 2-3 years of experience in legal directory submissions (e.g., as a rankings editor or supporting submissions within a law firm), who is looking for the opportunity to run a submissions function autonomously.

The Global Strategy Coordinator will need to be a very logical problem solver, a persuasive writer and communicator, and someone who enjoys providing crisp, logical analysis and support.

Primary Responsibilities:

Directory Submissions:
  • Lead firm participation in connection with legal guides and directories, award nominations and surveys globally, including identifying opportunities and designating ownership of submissions with appropriate product and regional managers
  • Responsible for leading all firmwide submissions, including providing strategic leadership on the approach, and gathering of content, writing and editing of submissions
  • Oversee directory submissions calendar and communicate quarterly submission deadlines and criteria to all stakeholders
  • Gather and report feedback on the outcome of submissions and conduct analysis on the firm’s rankings and that of its competitors
Writing, Editing and Project Management:
  • Collaborate with firm management, partners and Marketing to develop content for legal directory submissions and awards
  • Interface with editors and researchers overseeing surveys and awards
  • Research new opportunities and analyses survey/award participation and marketing efforts by peer firms
  • Maintain, manage and report on relevant administrative resources (calendars, file storage systems, contacts database etc.)
Other Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide supplemental coverage for counterparties in different time zones
  • Support and execute other firm wide initiatives as assigned

Requirements
  • Strong business acumen, project management, and analytical skills
  • Extraordinary attention to detail and demonstrates an intellectual curiosity
  • Superior presentation, writing, and interpersonal skills; the ability to lead through influence rather than direct control
  • A consultative, collaborative, and highly client‐service oriented approach
  • Strong computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Suite required
  • Occasional travel is required

New York City only: At the time of posting, the salary range for this role is $64,000 (minimum) – $95,000 (maximum). This range is based on a full-time work schedule. Other compensation may include an annual discretionary bonus.

The successful candidate’s actual salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, qualifications, licensure/certifications, training, skills, and market data.
