Lead Business Systems Support Specialist

The Nevada Supreme Court is currently looking to hire a Business Systems Support Specialist position that will serve as a lead worker to staff. This is a great opportunity to join a top-notch team with room for continued advancement!

Business Systems Support Specialists monitor work tickets; assist with escalating complex work order tickets; and ensure excellent customer service is offered. The position assists court users via phone and email with current court systems and issues they may be having, including answering questions about court business processes and providing training on how to use applications. The position is also responsible for maintaining databases, ensuring systems contain accurate information, and creating reports.
 
The position serves as a lead and will manage time off and ensure coverage, manage projects for multiple employees, and assign training.
 
This position can be located in Carson City or Las Vegas.

Examples of Duties / Knowledge & Skills
· Add, modify, delete, and maintain partners and organizations to enterprise information systems, for routine processes. Verify that partner and organization information is complete and accurate. Work with courts and other external agencies to coordinate partner participation in new information exchanges. Establish procedures for adding new partners to enterprise information systems.

· Ensure quality control of data by establishing validation and control procedures. Perform data entry in order to establish new partners, configure codes, or correct data. Work with IT Professionals and Business Systems Analysts to identify database scripts necessary to update databases. Develop basic scripts to update databases and assist in the development of more complex scripts.

· Identify and resolve issues involving physical and logical connectivity for multiple geographically dispersed locations including a large number of users requiring assistance; determine nature of outages; analyze recurring problems and recommend solutions; troubleshoot and resolve user issues; run diagnostics; research potential solutions using available resources.

· Support remote users; troubleshoot and run diagnostics on systems that are geographically dispersed to help resolve user issues.

· Develop and report metrics regarding system performance. Review system logs, reports, administrative consoles, and configuration files to determine issues.

· Ensure compliance with Court security requirements for intrusion/prevention/detection and data encryption.

· Ensure other Business Systems Support Specialists are in compliance with relevant IT procedures and policies.

Graduation from high school or equivalent and six years of experience utilizing the fundamentals of typical computer systems, operating systems, applications, and peripherals, four years of which must have included IT work experience in a user support role; OR one year relevant experience as an IT Technician IV or Business Systems Support Specialist IV in Nevada State or Court service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience in a help desk setting and experience configuring, testing, and supporting software is preferred.

Prior court and/or criminal justice experience is a plus.
