Sales Representative Intern

Job Brief:

The Sales Representative is in charge of selling products, meeting customer needs, and obtaining orders from existing or potential sales outlets. They make certain that the customer is satisfied and adequately cared for when making a purchase. This allows them to open new accounts for their employer.


What is the role of a Sales Representative?

A Sales Representative, or Salesperson, is responsible for using their knowledge of company products or services to connect with consumers and generate sales for their employer. Their duties include developing sales pitches to sell products or services, making cold calls to sales leads or taking calls from prospective customers and maintaining documentation of their sales like invoices or client contracts.


Responsibilities:

• Be knowledgeable about the product
• Identify prospective customers, lead generation and conversion
• Contact new and existing customers to discuss needs
• Emphasize the features of products to highlight how they solve customer problems
• Answer questions about the products
• Negotiate prices and terms and prepare sales agreements
• Collaborate with colleagues in many different sectors
• Maintain contact lists and follow up with customers to continue relationships


Requirements and skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field
• Proven ability to meet and exceed sales
• Proven track record of successfully managing customer relationships
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Highly self-motivated
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Bilingual (fluency in English and Spanish)
