Overview:
THIS IS A JOB, NOT AN INTERNSHIP. IT HAS AN HOURLY SALARY FOR PERFORMING 3 ACTIVITIES 5-10 HOURS WEEKLY, INCLUDING ATTENDING A MEETING, MAKING PHONE CALLS, AND SCHEDULING MEETINGS. THERE IS NO SYLLABUS, AND THERE IS NO EDUCATIONAL COMPONENT THAT YOU MIGHT FIND IN AN INTERNSHIP. YOU WILL LEARN A LOT AND THERE ARE OPPORTUNITIES TO SHADOW ON AN UNPAID BASIS, BUT YOU WILL MOSTLY BE MAKING PHONE CALLS.

Associates joining the Sales Team are either extremely confident and need training to learn how and when to "bring it down a notch" or moderately shy and need an environment to practice being confident. This role is good for those who have already done cold calling and are planning to go into sales and love it. It is not a good experience for those who need a lot of guidance and emotional support and are looking to try it out or to force themselves into a challenge that will make them more confident.

It is mostly focused on a very low result-gaining experience of cold calling, which represents 75% of the duration of the program. The remaining 25% is spent on warm calling. For the first 75% of the duration of the program, associates make 5-10 hours of calls per week unsupervised. Another 15% of the duration of the program, they allocate some hours of calls per week unobserved for warm calls. The remaining 10% of the program will be observing sales calls made by the program administrator and other licensed sales professionals.

Associates will meet with the program administrator 30-60 min per week to review results and strategies as well as minor details of the calling lists. The meeting time is paid time.

Other educational activity is not required and is not paid time. Associates WILL NOT be asked to analyze logical fallacies, there will be NO written reflection assignments, associates WILL NOT submit their analysis as recorded speaking assignments. Associates WILL NOT have listening assignments about sales, negotiation, motivation, and advanced selling techniques via Audible.

Time commitment:  5 or 10 hours per week, 8 weeks or longer if funding is available
Payment: With a 10 hour weekly commitment, hourly salary is $15 per hour without bonuses, or $12 per hour with $20 bonuses, or $10 per hour with $100 bonuses. With a 5 hour weekly commitment, hourly salary is $12 per hour without bonuses, $10 per hour with $20 bonuses, or $8 per hour with $100 bonuses. Bonuses are based on scheduled meetings with people you call that actually occur.
