Proposal Technical Writer

Prescient Edge is a veteran-owned small business that was founded as a Counterintelligence and Human Intelligence company in 2008. We are a global operations and solutions integrator delivering full-spectrum intelligence analysis support, training, security, and technology RD&E support solutions to the Department of Defense and other institutions throughout the intelligence community. Prescient Edge is seeking a Proposal Writer to support our Business Development Team. As a Proposal Writer, you will be asked to develop and write a variety of end-user product documentation including, proposals, white papers, and process guides. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
 
  • Write all sections of a proposal, which may include both technical and non-technical topics.
  • Conduct research using multiple sources (e.g., open-source research, SME meetings, solutioning sessions, data calls, etc.).
  • Participate in all color team reviews of a proposal and its components, and then make edits to the proposal based on feedback provided from team members and SMEs. 
  • Collaborate with our solutions experts to define a winning strategy, and then translate that information and your research into a proposal that meets all Government requirements in the RFP.
  • Engage in capture and planning activities in order to ensure that the team is prepared when an RFP becomes available.
  • Take ownership of a proposal, ensuring that we are delivering high-quality products to our Government clients.
  • Other duties as assigned.
 
 
Job Requirements
 
  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in English, Journalism, or a related field.
  • U.S. citizenship.
  • Thorough command of English grammar and foundational knowledge of writing and business communication standards.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, including the ability to adapt to a standard technical writing style, write clearly and concisely, and convey information in multiple formats for a variety of audiences.
  • The ability to write technical management documents, executive-level briefings, policy drafts, marketing products and technical documents, manuals, white papers, design specification documents, project plans, test plans, requirement documents, briefings, forms, surveys, release notes, memos, brochures, talking points, testimonies, speeches, articles, newsletters, correspondence, press releases, letters, reports, meeting minutes, design documents, flyers, posters, invitations, product catalogs, notices, instructions, communications campaign plans, media relations content, case studies, executive bios, speaking proposals, guidance documents, fact sheets, SharePoint content, web content, social media content, and other communications.
  • The ability to ensure that all documents are properly saved in SharePoint with the proper naming convention, allowing for easy retrieval of required documents and information.
  • The ability to multitask and prioritize assignments to meet assigned deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational skills, including attention to detail and consistency.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to share work and articulate ideas.
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.).
  • Willingness to operate on a flexible schedule and work within tight deadlines.
