Government Relations Intern

Government Relations is Congress’ link to the policy recommendations, in-depth analyses, and conservative ideas expressed in Heritage’s articles, publications, lectures and other products. Government Relations staff is available to help members of Congress prepare for congressional hearings by identifying Heritage experts who will provide valuable insight on foreign, domestic and economic policy issues. Heritage regularly hosts Hill briefings, events and fellowships on the legislation of the day and latest Heritage research, serving as a go-to resource for Congressional staffers. The department intern tracks legislation and conducts research, maintains contact databases and assists with the coordination of Hill briefings and events. Previous experience on the Hill or in research is not necessary for this position. An interest to learn from a fast-paced and innovative environment is desired for interested applicants.
