Sales Intern — Kansas City, MO (Summer 2022)

What's the role?


Our sales internship will provide the right individual with the opportunity to gain a tremendous amount of knowledge of our company, our products, and our sales operations through the completion of value-added projects and daily sales activities.

What does the role involve?


future employer. Interns work full-time during the summer on value-added projects that are relevant to their education and that drive Hilti’s business. 
This role will be based out of Kansas City, MO. Our sales interns have the chance to partner with an existing team of sales professionals to complete their projects and get exposure to what a full-time sales role could look like with us.


What do we offer?


Summer interns work 40 hours a week on various projects in departments relevant to their education and in all areas of the business. Those who successfully complete an internship are considered for full-time employment upon graduation. The most common career path for interns who join us full-time is through our Account Manager Development Program.

Throughout the summer, interns will be exposed to all levels of management and participate in a variety of events, including a one-week orientation with a welcome from our CEO, an overview of the business, hands-on tool training, meetings with our executive leadership team, and volunteer opportunities. At the end of the summer, interns give a final presentation to senior leadership on their experience and accomplishments.

What you need is:

  • Are in pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in professional sales, marketing or an engineering related degree
  • Graduate in Fall 2022 or Spring 2023
  • Are results-oriented and proactive - able to get things done and achieve targets
  • Have a strong customer orientation
  • Have excellent planning and time management skills
  • Possess strong communication and presentation skills
  • Are proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Are willing to relocate nationally
  • Are eligible to work in the United States permanently without sponsorship
