As one of our interns, you will gain a comprehensive introduction to our business. You’ll be assigned to a team and work on real-life projects that bring our products and services to life. On the job training and professional development will be provided to enable you to contribute to the business. You’ll also have direct access to a senior member of the team, as each intern will be mentored to help you make the most of the ten-week program.

What Does the Internship Program Offer?
Successful candidates will spend 10 weeks working with our technology teams.
You will be paid for the duration of your internship. The internship begins on Monday, June 6th and ends Friday, August 12th, 2022.
Qualifications
Familiarity with level design and planning
Familiarity with game physics and particle systems
Familiarity with mobile and console game development
Experience with 3D applications is a plus
Job Description
As an Intern with Content Authoring Platform team, you will have an opportunity to work on challenging problems that will have profound impact on how Product Teams plan on creating Immersive content using AR/VR and Gaming Technologies.
You will get an opportunity to work with skilled team of Technology and Product Teams and assist in implementing new Business Concepts using Immersive Technologies. You will also be working with Project Management leads and will gain practical experience with a wide variety of software engineering tasks and technologies.
What does the 10 weeks involve?
Interns will develop a broad knowledge of implementing new Product Concepts using Immersive Technologies at Pearson. You will have an opportunity to work with teams from all over the world. An ideal fit for this role would be a person who can thrive in fast paced environment willing to take on new challenges.
You will get an opportunity to work on projects that are already in production. You will have an assigned mentor who will help you with your assignments. Our Immersive Team uses Adobe Aero, development environment uses AWS infrastructure, React, Node.js, JavaScript, Java, Git (Bitbucket), Jenkins. You will also get an opportunity to work on product built using design pattern Micro Frontend, Microservice’s.
Minimum Requirements
  • Students having hands on development experience in Gaming Applications like EPIC Unreal, Playcanvas, Unity and Adobe Aero.
  • Conceptualize, design and implement game content, systems, and story
  • Experience implementing game content using a programming or scripting language
  • A strong desire to learn and accept new challenges within a collaborate team context.
  • Graduation date between December 2022 and May 2024 and should be within driving distance of office location.
