Technical Intern 3 (Summer 2022) (75055BR)

  • Seeking an energetic Engineering College Intern to join the team to work in the development and production of the AEGIS Weapon System. AEGIS is the premiere shipboard system in detection, managing, directing sensors and putting weapons on target! The candidate will become part of an exciting team of engineers working to develop and build a highly complex radar and computer system vital to the United States Navy. As part of our team the candidate will support BAE production engineers as they assess manufacturing progress of radar components, subsystems and systems on the production floor, during fabrication, assembly, unit test and system test. In order to be eligible for this 3-month internship, applicants must be enrolled in a 4-year institution and have completed their Junior year. Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Systems, or Industrial Engineering curricula are preferred.
  • The I&S LEAP Intern Program offers current college students hands-on experience in technology, engineering, intelligence and business. In addition to on-th-job training, the I&S LEAP Intern Program offers:
  • Competitive Pay: Earn a competitive hourly wage, working full-time, Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week through the run of the program (typically mid-May through August).

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • HIS Diploma/GED
  • Must have completed their Junior year and currently be enrolled in an accredited college/University, pursuing Engineering, Computer Sciences, or Mathematics discipline as a desired major.


Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Excellent MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, etc).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Security clearance requirement: Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).
