Certified Licensing Assessor - LSW Required
Pathway Caring for Children is currently hiring a Full Time, Licensing Assessor to join our growing team. As the Licensing Assessor, you will meet with families responding to recruitment campaign within the program time frames as well as support foster/adoption applicants and families throughout the foster/adoption assessment process. You will also assist in the orientation and training of prospective foster/adoptive parents as well as conduct assessments and evaluation pertaining to the foster/adoption homestudy.
As the Assessor, you will independently ensure work is completed in a timely and efficient manner. Professional judgment in contact with public, and staff professionals with varied backgrounds as well as using discretion in handling written and verbal material that is confidential is required. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all of Pathway's foster/adoption homes maintain compliance with Ohio Department of Job and Family Services licensing standards. The Assessor is responsible for the initial licensing and re-licensing of all foster homes, and the approval and re-approval of approved adoptive homes that are assigned to them by the Licensing Operations and Support Director.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or related field
- Valid Ohio LSW required
- Certified Assessor
- Familiar with SACWIS System
- Strong clinical skills including expertise in systemic family therapy, crisis intervention, family education, behavioral interventions, and substance abuse therapy.
- Sensitivity in relating to persons of varying backgrounds and demonstrate ability to work with diverse groups of people possessing various strengths, aptitudes and abilities.
- Ability to perform job responsibilities with a high degree of initiative and independent judgment
