Data Analyst
Job Summary:
Must be detail-oriented analyst who love to work with large amount of data and turning them into real business impact. You will be responsible for collecting, maintaining, and analyzing data that can be translated into insights to guide our business strategy. Must be comfortable with large and fragmented data sets.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Include the following but not limited to, other duties may be assigned.
- Research potential leads for the purpose of finding their contact information
- Mine and analyze both external and internal data to gain up to date intelligence on the business
- Perform testing and validation of data sets
- Contributes to creating Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) tools using SQL Server Integration Services or other open-source languages such as Python to extract and manipulate large and fragmented data sets
- Create reports to share findings and recommendations with stakeholders
- Collaborate with department leaders to determine and address data and reporting needs for various company projects
- Document structures and types of business data
- Assist in the development of KPIs to gauge the success of various strategic business initiatives
- Assist in the development of data warehousing, reporting, business intelligence and analytics solutions
- Assist in the creation and management of dashboards, reports, and other analytical services for business stakeholders
Minimum Requirements: The responsibilities listed below are required. Accommodations may be made to enable the individual with disabilities to ensure the individual can perform the essential functions and responsibilities.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: commercial banking, specialty finance, residential or commercial loan originations a plus
- Strong analytical, research, investigative and organizational skills
- Ability to identify useful information in data sets and suggest conclusions that support decision making process
- Proficiency in Excel required
- Proficiency in SQL; Proficiency in using open-source language such as Python, a plus
- Understanding of data gathering, inspecting, cleansing, transforming, and modeling techniques
- Experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI / Tableau
- Strong financial background with analytical and numerical proficiency
- Ability to balance personal resourcefulness and individual drive in a team-based environment
