Marketing Coordinator (Digital)

This position is located in our New York office. Due to COVID-19, our employees are working remotely until at least January 2022.

Macmillan Learning is seeking a Marketing Coordinator to join our Digital Marketing team. As a Digital Marketing Coordinator, you will support the execution and ongoing maintenance of Macmillan Learning’s marketing campaigns and programs. You will work closely with the Marketing Operations and Digital Marketing Specialist teams to help implement best practices, as well as ensure the quality and success of our campaigns, by working directly in Marketo and other key platforms. In addition to handling recurring operational and administrative tasks in Marketo, you'll provide ongoing support for reporting, training and documentation, and campaigns.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Supporting the execution of operational, cross-disciplinary, and other marketing campaigns by creating programs, emails, landing pages, and other assets in Marketo; creating campaign tracking to support reporting, and assisting with the QA of Marketo programs.
  • Supporting content creation for our Macmillan Community and social media channels by coordinating the cross-promotion of campaigns and events working with our digital marketing, design, and Communications teams, as well as writing blogs and posts as needed.
  • Assisting with campaign management in Asana by creating campaigns, maintaining tasks, and updating email calendars.
  • Collaborating with the Marketing Operations team to maintain our Marketo instance by updating and maintaining folders and other assets, auditing and archiving programs, maintaining subscriptions and reports, as well as assisting with list imports and QA of programs and content.
  • Supporting the Marketing Operations team by monitoring our help ticket queue to assign tickets, troubleshoot and close tickets related to Marketo programs, and communicate updates.
  • Collaborating with the team to create, update, and maintain documentation, training guides, and request forms for Marketo end users, as well as maintain our library of marketing resources in our intranet.
  • Providing administrative support to the team including scheduling meetings, coordinating events, keeping minutes at meetings, coding expenses, as well as other duties as needed.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required. 
  • 1+ years of full-time or internship experience in digital marketing and/or email marketing.
  • Strong knowledge of Google for Work (Slides, Sheets, Docs, Drive) including demonstrable experience working with data in Google Sheets using advanced functions (e.g. pivot tables, formula, lookups, data visualization, conditional formatting, logic). 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively across departments and teams. 
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize projects and deadlines, and manage a number of ongoing tasks simultaneously. 
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail. 
  • Team oriented with a positive can-do attitude; takes initiative to support new projects/tasks and learn new skills. 
  • Comfortable learning new technologies. 
  • Keen interest in digital marketing and customer experience. 
 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • BA or BS in English, Communications, Marketing, Business or other related field or equivalent work experience. 
  • Basic HTML knowledge preferred. 
  • Knowledge of email marketing or automation tools a plus (e.g. Marketo, Hubspot, Mailchimp, ConstantContact, etc.) 
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Asana is a plus.
