Student Life – Graduate Assistant for Marketing

Candidates must be accepted into one of the Graduate Programs here at Lander University prior to beginning the position.
 
Compensation: Selected candidate will receive a 50% tuition and fee waiver as well as a $3000 stipend per semester. Note that if the GA position does not relate directly to their graduate studies the student will be taxed on the stipend and tuition benefits. Graduate Assistants work approximately 20 hours per week during the school year. Graduate Assistantships may be renewed for one additional year.
 
Primary Responsibilities
 
The primary function of the Graduate Assistant for Marketing would provide support for advertising needs for both the Department of Student Life and the Division of Student Affairs. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Develop, organize, and implement marketing and promotional plans; monitor and manage the departments website, printed materials, TV displays, etc.; Work on projects on a need’s basis; create a plan, meeting with staff to understand needs and meet deadlines; Oversee and manage the project request system on TEAMS; Assist with the development of marketing videos and ads; Serve as a liaison between University Relations, Print Services, etc.; Oversee and supervise student workers who work with Marketing; assist the Special Events with all marketing needs.
