Student Affairs - CARE & Advocacy Department Graduate Assistant

Candidates must be accepted into one of the Graduate Programs here at Lander University prior to beginning the position.
 
Compensation: Selected candidate will receive a 50% tuition and fee waiver as well as a $3000 stipend per semester. Note that if the GA position does not relate directly to their graduate studies the student will be taxed on the stipend and tuition benefits. Graduate Assistants work approximately 20 hours per week during the school year. Graduate Assistantships may be renewed for one additional year.
 
Primary Responsibilities
 
The CARE & Advocacy Department Graduate Assistant will work with CARE & Advocacy student workers to ensure the Student Affairs Suite front desk is covered. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to: Maintain the CARE Chirps program and bird houses located around campus; Work with CARE & Advocacy student workers to maintain the Condolence Card Program; Partner with CARE & Advocacy student workers and the Student Outreach Coordinator to implement and host programs in the Student Center; Participate in bi-weekly call campaigns to students of concern and students with a CARE history to help with fostering and maintaining their success; See Something, Say Something campaign: Create large flyers to post around campus to encourage the Lander community to report individuals of concern to the team for support. Include a QR code for easy of access directly linking to the CARE & Advocacy website; Create, implement, and update a CARE-related commercial to broadcast in partnership with LUX; Work with Student Outreach Coordinator to maintain the CAREConnect; Student to Student Mentoring Program.
