Student Affairs - Graduate Assistant for the Office of Student Conduct & Community Standards

Candidates must be accepted into one of the Graduate Programs here at Lander University prior to beginning the position.
 
Compensation: Selected candidate will receive a 50% tuition and fee waiver as well as a $3000 stipend per semester. Note that if the GA position does not relate directly to their graduate studies the student will be taxed on the stipend and tuition benefits. Graduate Assistants work approximately 20 hours per week during the school year. Graduate Assistantships may be renewed for one additional year.
 
Primary Responsibilities

The Graduate Assistant for the Office of Student Conduct & Community Standards will report directly to the head of the Office of Student Conduct & Community Standards. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Serve as a Graduate Student Representative on the University’s Student Conduct Committee; Assist in maintaining Maxient (conduct database) data: uploading files, logs, reports, and sanctions; Assist in collecting and organizing notes and records to be uploaded into servers and databases; Review and purge confidential and classified files per record retention protocol; Provide service as a Conduct Officer (hearing minor cases such as housing violations); Serve as a Peer Mentor; educating students on the effects of alcohol through Brief Motivational Interviews; Assist in the creation, implementation, and functioning of programs hosted by the Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards; Collaborate with other offices as necessary to assist in ordering and gathering items (on and off-campus).
