Digital (IT) Operations Intern

We are seeking a motivated, results-oriented college student to join our team for the summer of 2022. The Carrier internship experience offers interns an environment that provides practical, challenging, and meaningful on-the-job work experience and the opportunity to apply knowledge and demonstrate strengths to assist Carrier in achieving its business strategy.
As a Digital (IT) Operations intern, you will gain experience to include, but is not limited to, activities and tasks listed below:

  • Study FSP Digital operations processes for projects, products, partnerships
  • Create a map of activities/tasks for project planning and execution (from nomination -> prioritization -> evaluation -> budgeting -> execution -> closure)
  • Understand and create process flows for FSP Digital procurement across (direct and indirect). The who, what, when, how?
  • Classify the different BRM activities & time spent into focus areas – Infra, Audits, Compliance, Projects, Corporate Initiatives, Meetings, etc.
  • Suggest areas of improvement across all of the above
Experience/Qualifications

  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • COVID-19 vaccines will be required for all newly hired Carrier U.S. Salaried employees
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Self-driven and proactive
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Team player and willing to collaborate with others on projects
  • Should have worked with process architecture, design, and capacity planning
  • Designed process flows with dependencies, activities, critical paths, redundancies
  • Should understand projects in both waterfall and agile methodologies
  • Experience in working with leaders and working team members to extract & present data
  • Motivated, Self-starter, quick learner, vocal

Education

  • Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree program, majoring in related field of study
  • GPA must be greater than or equal to 3.0 GPA
  • Relevant coursework or previous internships preferred
