Licensed Social Worker

Position: Just Neighbors seeks a passionate, bilingual (Spanish/English) Licensed Social Worker to work with current Just Neighbors clients who are immigrant survivors of domestic violence and other traumas. Position will be based out of our main Annandale office but will work with clients throughout Virginia. To apply, send resume and cover letter to Erin McKenney at Erin@justneighbors.org.   Responsibilities:
·      Provide non-legal case management for Just Neighbors immigrant clients
·      Aid in growing the Just Neighbors social work program
·      Conduct and oversee volunteer client intakes to assess needs outside of legal help
·      Advance partnerships with community agencies and organizations
·      Provide services through a trauma-informed lens
·      Manage a caseload and supervise yearly social work interns and volunteers
·      Work with survivors of domestic violence to develop a safety plan and connect them to additional services
·      Provide appropriate referrals and assist with “warm handoffs” and support as they navigate resources
·      Participate in ongoing training/professional development
·      Complete ongoing paperwork and monthly and quarterly domestic violence reports in the VAData system.
·      Serve as the point-person for UniteUS referral platform
·      Train and oversee volunteers assisting with non-immigration client needs in the rural area
·      Regularly encourage clients to complete service surveys through the VA Sexual and Domestic Violence Action Alliance
·      Serve as the Just Neighbors liaison on the Arlington and Fairfax Domestic Violence Community Taskforces
 
Qualifications:
·      Spanish fluency required
·      Experience with case management
·     Previous case worker/non-profit experience a plus
·      Hard working, flexible, able to carry a full caseload and to work as a team member in a close-knit, small office with people of all backgrounds
·      Ability to work independently and creatively
·      Desire to collaborate with diverse stakeholders engaging with immigrants
·      Passion for immigration, human-rights, and the non-profit sector
·      Ability to supervise social work volunteers and interns
·      Experience with data reporting in VAdata system and grant management
·      Experience working with trauma victims and their families
·      At least one year experience working with vulnerable or immigrant populations
