Circus or Flying Trapeze Instructor

Camp Lindenmere is looking for Circus and Flying Trapeze Instructors at our Overnight Children's Summer Camp in the Pocono Mountains!

Located in Pennsylvania’s beautiful Pocono Mountains, Camp Lindenmere is a private, coed sleepaway camp with a long, rich history. Established in 1935, our focus is on the individual growth of each child. Our campers range in age from 7 to 17. We run Sports, Arts, Performing Arts, and Adventure Activities on a daily basis in our beautiful facilities.

We have an amazing camp community and a big part of that is because of our AMAZING STAFF! All of our staff serve as activity instructors (i.e. Circus and Flying Trapeze) and Bunk Counselors.

Working at camp is the experience of a lifetime. JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old or have completed a year of college.
- Strong and positive leadership skills to be awesome role models for our campers.
- Able to communicate and work well with children and staff members.
- Able to teach/coach/guide beginners through advanced skill level campers
- Experience needed in Lyra, Aerial Sphere, Silks, Rope, Hammock, Juggling, Bike, Tumbling, Mini Tramp, Parkour, Acro, Adagio, Unicycle, Clowning, Static, Double, Triple and Swinging Trapeze, plus more.
- There are two outdoor Flying Trapeze rigs where we will need instructors who can help with the Technique Improvement, Practice Bar & Floor, Board, Catching, Safety Lines, and rigging.

Not sure you have all the skills, you're in luck. We love to get staff in early to train and develop your skills before and throughout the summer. There is always plenty to learn with all the different instructors you will meet.

There are 2 visiting days where both Circus and Flying Trapeze put on shows.

Compensation: We pay very competitive rates to attract the best staff as well as Room and board plus weekly laundry is included so you really have no expenses at all while at camp!

We can also be flexible with dates, as there is a pre and post-camp season. Our summers run from May through October.

Additional Application Information:

Applicants must be individuals with high moral character and possess a strong work ethic. Working in camp overseeing children and staff is hard work! We expect our staff members to be excellent role models for our campers and staff members. Previous experience working with children is important. The capacity to provide warm, mature guidance is most important.

As a condition of employment applicants must pass the staff screening processes which includes: reference checks, criminal background checks, sex-offender registry checks, fingerprinting, and other staff screening checks deemed appropriate.

Compensation. We pay very competitive rates to attract the best staff as well as travel allowance. Room and board plus weekly laundry is included so you really have not expenses at all while at camp!
