Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System is hiring physical therapists for various settings across the Upstate of SC:
·        Acute Care
·        Outpatient Rehab
·        Industrial Rehab
·        Home Health
We offer a generous relocation package to work in the Upstate of SC.




WHAT YOU WILL DO


The Physical Therapist evaluates and treats patients by referral. He/she plans treatment programs and performs therapy to restore function, prevent disability, and maximize the potential and quality of life following disease, injury or surgery. He/she may delegate patients to PTAs and performs re-evaluations and supervisory visits per state practice act.  He/she appropriately modifies treatment plans and procedures and uses appropriate communication techniques to achieve optimal results. He/she may supervise PTAs, Rehab Techs, and students. He/she participates in community presentations, staff education, and other departmental activities as requested by the supervisor, manager or director.
 
In addition, Physical Therapists will perform the following:
  • Performs appropriate assessment and reassessment procedures based on accepted practice standards.
  • Provides therapy according to treatment plan.
  • Completes timely and accurate documentation and billing according to practice standards.
  • Provides education and training to patients, families, and caregivers.
  • Delegates to and supervises physical therapist assistants and support staff.
  • Utilizes non-patient care time to assist others, enhance professional growth, and participate in program development.
  • Attends departmental and hospital committees and meetings.
  • Completes other duties as assigned.
 






WHAT YOU WILL NEED


Education:
·        Required: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited physical therapist education program
·        Preferred: MS/DPT from an accredited physical therapist education program
Experience:
·        Preferred: One to five (1-5) years of experience in relevant practice area
License/Registration/Certifications:
·        Required: CPR-AHA BLS
·        Required: SC PT License

Acute Care PTs:
  • Spartanburg Medical Center campus: Spartanburg Medical Center Church Street campus (SMC-CS) is a division of Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System. SMC-CS is ranked #2 in South Carolina by U.S. News & World Report in 2020-21. SMC-CS is also a Primary Stroke Center and an American College of Surgeons (ACS)-verified Level I Trauma Center. Our dynamic rehabilitation team consists of PTs, PTAs, OTs, COTAs, and SLPs who work collaboratively to provide innovative patient care in our 500 bed acute care hospital. Our PT department patient census averages 230 patients daily. Our patient population includes, but is not limited to, orthopedic, neurologic, cardiac, critical care, general medical, general surgical, and oncology diagnoses.
  • Mary Black Campus: Our rehabilitation team consists of PTs, PTAs, OTs, COTAs, and SLPs who work collaboratively to provide excellent patient care in our 230-bed acute care hospital and 18 bed inpatient rehabilitation unit. 

Outpatient PTs:
  • Our team consists of Physical Therapists who work collaboratively with our on-site physicians and sports performance staff to provide comprehensive care to our patients. The patient population consists of pre- and post-operative orthopedics and sports related injuries.

Industrial Rehab PTs:
  • The Industrial Rehab Physical Therapist provides interventions to maximize associate safety and health at our off-site clients. The Injury Prevention and Industrial Rehab department, a division of Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System, is comprised of a team of 20+ health professionals that service the needs of employers in our area. Together, as part of our specialized Corporate Health programming, we support over 800 employers in the upstate. We specialize in onsite injury prevention, wellness, placement, and case management services in additional to provision of traditional Industrial Rehab services. Our service suite also includes a variety of functional testing options tailored to our individual employer needs.  We are looking for highly skilled, dynamic, autonomous, problem-solving professionals that can successfully integrate and apply their skills and knowledge into a variety of unique settings including the manufacturing floor. 

Home Health PTs:
  • Under the direction of the Rehab Director, the Physical Therapist (PT) is responsible for assessing, evaluating, planning and implementing a medically prescribed treatment plan established for patients in the homecare setting to improve, restore, and compensate for lost function and to facilitate achieving independence for their optimal physical ability.
